Class Description:
Yoga Basics
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by yoga or unsure of where to start, this class is designed for you. This class will assist you in starting a daily yoga practice of your own by giving you confidence to roll out your yoga mat. You’ll learn the basics of the postures in this balanced Hatha yoga class.
Yoga Beyond the Basics
Cleansing the physical body is an important aspect of traditional Hatha Yoga. We will learn ways to cleanse the physical body through breath work and physical postures. We will also chant and practice basic meditation techniques to go beyond the physical practice of yoga most often practiced in the western world.
Yoga & Yoga Nidra (Sleeping Yoga)
Yoga Nidra is a relaxing and rejuvenating practice of mind, body and spirit. It is a half an hour practice done in Shavasana (lying on your back on the floor) to induce complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Before we practice yoga Nidra, we will prepare the body with yoga postures. Half an hour of yoga Nidra is as restorative for the body and mind as two hours of deep sleep. This practice has been found to reduce tension and anxiety as well as possibly easing physical symptoms caused by stress.
Vibration Self-Care Coaching
According to quantum physics, everything is energy and everything is vibrating at different rates or frequencies. In this class we practice techniques to raise your energy and help you feel more energetic. This class provides you with tools and techniques to use to strengthen the energy around the body, commonly known as the “auric field”, balance the energy centers of the bodies or “chakras” and release ties to the past that are holding you back from living your best life now.
Yoga for Empaths
This hatha yoga class focuses on grounding practice to help ease anxiety and cultivate deep peace and relaxation. Traditional “yoga” as practiced in India is not considered an “exercise” but a re-alignment with all aspects of self. The practice helps return your to their natural state of health and well being. We will practice yoga postures and Japa yoga to connect, ground and raise the frequency within and around the physical body. This class is meant to help empaths be empowered and fully embodied in their daily lives.
Silent Meditation
Learn breathing techniques you can use to create or strengthen your own meditation practice. The monkey mind is the true culprit for the dis-ease and discomfort we experience in our lives. The practice of silent meditation helps the practitioner feel more grounded, present and peaceful in their own skin.
