The start of the Lent Season, Wednesday, February 26th through Sunday, April 12th
Here is a link to the poem
Special note from the Unity Youth!
Charles Fillmore states that "Lent is a season of spiritual growth, a time for progressive unfoldment. When we can blend and merge our mind with God-Mind, the way is open for the Lord to glorify us and to lift us into a higher, purer, more spiritual state. Christ is in our midst, as the God of our planet, as the one great Teacher. Place all burdens on the Lord and enter the Lenten season expecting definite results."
Here at Unity the focus from our Youth this year is going to be on unloading our burdens and baggage in order to follow our true Christ Self.
We are going to do this three ways and we are inviting you to join in.
1- Spring clean your closets and Bring in bags of clothing that you would like to donate. We will be donating these to local organizations.
2- Bring in any old suitcases or duffle bags that you would like to donate. We will be donating these to foster home kids at St. Johns.
3- At the entrance of the sanctuary, paper and pens will be placed next to the suitcase to write down what your worries or "baggage" you need to let go of. These will be burned on Easter Sunday in our youth burning bowl ceremony.
Drop off your donations to the community room starting now until Easter Sunday. All items will be donated after Easter.
Thank you for your support!
We have some new swag!
